Rules and Bets

The object of the Roulette is to successfully pick the right number, the right feature of that number (such as colour) or to bet on the right section of numbers. The winning number is decided by spinning a ball in a revolving wheel consisting of 37 numbers in the European version (one zero) or 38 numbers for the American Roulette featuring both a zero and a double zero.

Do note that the order of numbers in the wheel differs between American and European Roulette.

The Roulette layout is divided into two separate fields - the number layout and the outside chances field.

The number layout consists of thirty six numbers, a zero and a double zero (exists only in American roulette), making a total of 37 or 38 playable numbers. The zero and the double zero plays exactly the same way as all the other numbers but are not included in any outside chances bets. The outside chances field is the common name of the twelve outside chances divided into two separate types of bets. Six 1 to 1 bets, red, black odd, even, high numbers and low numbers, and six 2 to 1, three columns bets and three dozen bets.

Number layout
Playing the numbers is easy and can be very rewarding. After deciding what number to play there are several options available. The easiest bet is to simply place a chip straight up on the number. By doing so, you play that number only. Other options includes splitting the bet between two connecting numbers like 1-2 or 6-9, playing corners which are placed in the crosshair of four numbers, streets, three number in a row for example 4 through 6, or playing a sixline which is a double street.

Number bets payouts:

BET NAME NUMBERS PAYOUT
Straight up Single number 35 to 1
Split Two adjacent numbers 17 to 1
Corner A quadrant of numbers 8 to 1
Street A row of three numbers 11 to 1
Sixline Two rows of three 5 to 1
European House Special 0-1-2-3 8 to 1
American House Special 0-00-1-2-3 6 to 1

Note:
The European Roulette features two special street bets: 0-1-2, 0-2-3 and The American Roulette three special street bets: 0-1-2, 0-00-2 and 00-2-3.

Outside chances field
By playing outside chances bets you will cover a great amount of numbers in just one bet. The outside chances bet can be divided into two categories: those that pay 1 to 1 and those that pay 2 to 1. If the ball lands on number within a field or category that you have bet, you win. 1 to 1 bets includes the colour bet red/black, the even bet even/odd and the hilo bet high/low. By making a 1 to 1 bet, you cover 18 numbers. All 2 to 1 bets cover 12 numbers each.

Name Numbers Payout
Colour Bet Red or Black
Even Bet Even or Odd 1 to 1
High / Low 1-18 or 19-36 1 to 1
Column Bet Row 34, 35 or 36 2 to 1
Dozen Bet 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36 2 to 1

(Note: All outside chances bets lose on 0 and 00)

Rules regarding 0 and 00
You can place number bets on the 0 and 00 just like on any other number. The payout is exactly the same. But neither 0 nor 00, however, is included in any outside chances bet. So if any of the zeros hit, all outside chances lose.

Combining bets
Roulette becomes really exciting when you start combining bets. By spreading various types of number bets across the layout you not only spread the risks but also face some potentially huge wins if luck strikes.

Say your favourite number is “8” and you cover it with a straight up bet, a split bet, a street bet and a corner bet. You spin the wheel and 8 hits. Your total win will then bet 35+17+11+8= 71 times the amount of one chip! So if you placed these bets using $1 chips, an initial bet of $4 suddenly turned into $71 - plus the four winning chips left on the layout! Not bad.

You can also combine outside chances with number bets. One fine example of this would be to play a rather large bet on red and securing that with a small straight up bet on zero as cover. Just in case.

By looking at the wheel you can also figure out adjacent numbers making it possible to cover a specific pie section of the wheel. Roulette games can be very wild or very slow depending on your preference. It’s all up to you! Happy spinning!

Hot and Burning Tables

The term Hot Table (HT) is an accumulation of rounds where the house makes a net loss, i.e. a round where the players win more than they lose. If 9 of the 15 rounds is won by the player(s) the tables is considered to be a HT.

The term Burning Table (BT) is when the elevated state of HT is reached and the player(s) at that table wins 11 out of 15 rounds.
